Khalid Abbas
Khalid is a Partner at the firm. He commenced his legal career with the law firm of Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN and he also worked at Strachan Partners and Aluko & Oyebode before he joined the firm.
Khalid has extensive corporate and commercial litigation experience and has litigated a broad range of issues relating to arbitration, banking, aviation, maritime, intellectual property, taxation, energy, and insurance. Khalid was a vital member of the team that secured an arbitral award for the sum of US$170,000,000.00 for an international oil company in an arbitration reference.
Khalid was also a vital member of the legal team that developed a robust legal strategy for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in its effort to recover over N4.4 Trillion Non-Performing Loans from delinquent Nigerian borrowers.
